I just had my first gray yesterday and Im 20. :( I was so upset. I plucked it and hope no more come back, and I dye my hair regularly too but this is the first time Ive had one. I hope it doesnt come back, it runs in my family though so it could be genetics for me. In your family it might be a recessive gene and you might have matched up. Who knows girl, but youre not alone! Haha.

I've been graying since I was 15. I know how you feel. Trust me. Nothing helps for me. They always come back no matter what I do.

If you pluck the hair out, you could cause scarring in the follicle and it won't grow back. Gray hair > no hair. Everyone goes gray at a different time, but usually slowly. Hang in there

I've been going grey since I was 15 (I'm 28 now) all I can say is hold off on dying it as long as you can...I have to dye mine once every 3 - 4 weeks (I use olia intense red) and honestly it's a ball ache. My mum had the same problem and eventually just decided to go blonde as the white roots are then a bit easier to hide...

Annam there really is no way to reduce the grey from growing in or make it stop. I wish! I have to color about every 3 weeks to keep the grey away. And yes that is a myth is you pull one two will grow in its place. :)

I've been going grey since I was 16 and trust me, its a war you are never going to win. I just make do with dying my hair a natural colour (am brown at the minute) and just retouching my roots every few weeks to avoid damaging all my hair.

Some research has shown that if premature greying isnt caused by genetics then it can be caused by a vitamin b12 deficiency. now although these tests are not conclusive it may be worth your while taking b12 vitamins, after all what's the worst thatll happen (it won't make your hair greyer lol). I've tried this and have noticed a slight reduction of the number of greys coming through but with me its caused by my genetics so I'm kind of fighting a loosinf battle here since I was 16. and grey hair coming through in full front bangs is not a good look on me haha.
