Red is a very hard color to get rid of once its there it seems like forever for it to get it to stop leaking through a new color. but if your hair is the color of the one in your picture I dont think putting brown in your hair would be strong enough to lift your old color out. hopefully you are going to a professional so they can do it right. you might need to bleach it to get it the same light brown as your picture.

Before dying your hair, try a vitamin c treatment to fade out the red. That is one tough color to get out. They say to use vitamin c powder and a good clairifying shampoo (add a bit of Dawn to it if needed) and apply it on damp hair. leave it in for like an hour and it should lighten it up. You can keep using it until you lightened the red or removed it. Be sure to deep condition after the treatment though, its very drying.
