Try massaging castor oil to your roots... Castor oil really helps in hair growth :-)
Another really really good solution is a herbal hair mask - if you can stand the smell and have the patience of sitting around for an hour with stuff on your head (something which I can't do)
mix yogurt, onion juice, lemon juice(if you have dandruff), egg, honey, and masoor dal paste (not sure what its called in english, please google and find out, its basically a bright orange colored lentil grain. you soak it over night and blend it into a paste) My mom mixes this up and makes me sit with this on my head for at least an hour every two weeks. I hate it, but I have to admit it does wonders for my hair. Plus, it also helps in hair growth and if you add henna powder to the paste it will give you very pretty natural looking highlights (if you have dark hair) along with the nutritional benefits of henna :-) Hope I could help :-)

Don't wash your hair everyday, hardly use any hair products & try not to use heat on your hair

the main thing you need to do is protext the hair you have. if you do this it will keep your ends from falling off. towl off your hair with a cotton shirt. that will help ptotect the ends. also sleep.with a satin bonnet. dont pull your hair to.tight and use a wide tooth comb. take lots of.multi vitamins and wash your hair everyother day. dont out heat on your hair. you can out products in if you want just not too much. not to much sun exposure either. if you want it to grow and fast you have to treat it like your newborn baby haha

I think with all the pollution we do need to keep our hair clean, otherwise we'll develop skin and scalp conditions... That said, if you don't want to wash everyday, you can just wash every other day :-) Do take care of your hair and condition and pamper the hair that you already have! :-) I agree with Daesha - don't heat style too much and keep out of the sun as much as possible! :-)

Try some sulfate free shampoo. I'm curently using alba botanica and I love it. It's all natural and my hair has never felt nicer <3 and try washing your hair every other day too. Sulfate shampoo will damage your hair and strip it of its natural oils which isn't good. Showering every other day will help too because then your hairs natural oils can be allowed to work. Hope this helps!

Going along with what Stephanie D. said, my sister also swears by Mane n Tail horse shampoo. They just recently started selling it in the cosmetics section, I think.

hair grows at a rate of 1cm a month. it can grow less if you are deficient in minerals etc or if it's damaged obviously it can break as as fast as it grows. you can't make it grow faster by using a certain shampoo etc.

many girls are telling you to dont wash your hair , I wash my hair every 2 days , your hair needs to breath !! just like your pores in your skin . my miracle treatment is Silicon Mix. you find that on beauty stores or online. my hair looked horrible because I used to dye a lot, breakage, split end ... after using silicon mix my hair grew - shoulder to up my hips in 4 months .

also buy mane n tail on Walgreens , rite aid , it makes your hair grow faster without leaving your hair dry or oily. I prefer mane n tail because Pantene, and other brands contains a lot chemical

The rate your hair grows at is determined by your DNA. You can make sure your hair doesn't grow slower, but you can't make it grow faster.

Get it cut regularly, so it's not dry/broken at the end, there are a few products you can buy such as oils you massage into your roots but they can be pricey! Just be patient :)
