Well it depends on what foundation you buy but generally bb creams have less coverage and are more like tinted moisturizers. But there are some foundations like MAC face & body that are even thinner that some bb creams.

In American bb creams, I've heard coverage is like that of a tinted moisturizer (aka light). I use missha bb cream and it feels much lighter then my full coverage foundation, but seems to cover my acne scarring more. It doesn't make me look made-up at all though. If you're trying to start light, just go for a tinted moisturizer. They're the basic in skin coverage, I'd say.

If ur starting out, I would recommend a bb cream or mac face and body or a tinted mosturizer bc it's easier to blend and isn't hard to apply for a beginner.

I would suggest a bb cream and don't forget you can always use concealer if you have any problem spots

Some have great coverage and some are more of a light coverage but they do work well
