Should I use lipstick or gloss for a special occasion? If so, poppy red, bluish pink, or a wearable lilac lavender?

In my opinion, it totally depends on what kind of clothes and colors you are going to wear. Also, glossy lips are fun and youthful, matte lipstick is a more sophisticated look. Just depends on the image and feel you want.
