Beauty Product Reviews

I love Liese's foam haircolor, so when I saw this at the drugstore I almost cried for joy! Foam haircolor is the best thing ever invented, and so easy!!! The only reason I rated this as average and not great was because I had been dying my hair with Manic Panic and wanted to go back close to my natural haircolor, so I picked out Medium Ash Brown...well, I left it on the exact 20 minutes it says to in the directions, and I turned out with seemingly black, but brown under light hair. So, it's a lot darker than I had expected, but my cosmetologist friend blamed this on my having bleached my hair before...had I known that, I'd have picked out a lighter color, but it doesn't look terrible! I'm just hoping perhaps it'll fade to a more medium brown instead of this inky black-brown. :L But you know what? At $8 I can't really complain that much!

One thing though: When it says to shake three times, I actually just tilted the bottle upside down about four or five times, then back rightside up to mix the color (like in Liese's bubble hair color instructions) instead and that way it'll stay a liquid in the bottle! If you have any foaminess in the bottle, the foam seems to degrade and go all liquidy after you apply it to your hair, so...that's my tip!

super gentle exfoliant (peeling gel)

I have pretty sensitive skin (along with dry skin to boot!) and most exfoliants are waaaay too harsh for my skin - they leave me all red and patchy!!! Not cure! It's the most I have EVER spent on a skin care product, but it lasts for what seems like FOREVER!!! (Mine is going on it's third year now?) It gets rid of all the dead skin and makes your skin super soft and actually kind of hydrated! I love using this stuff and I will probably never use another exfoliant again!

Pretty good hair treatment, but there are better ones out there.

I picked this up online since I fell in love with the other products from this hair care range, and I really like it, but I've since found a treatment that works better for me now that I'm coloring my hair. I'd say that if you have virgin uncolored hair, this works AMAZING for treating any kind of damage on the ends of your hair, but if you have color-treated hair, this isn't going to be a deep enough conditioner for your hair. Overall I like it and it smells nice, so that's a plus!

Excellent lightweight conditioner!!

I also picked this up at Nijiya Market in San Francisco's Japantown while I was on vacation there, and I am absolutely in love with this hair care range! Normally, I don't use conditioners since my hair is usually weighed down by them and it makes my hair look dull and dirty, but this conditioner actually WORKS!! My hair is so soft and manageable, and it smells SUPER NICE! And it doesn't look dirty!! I love this stuff!!!!

best shampoo for heat & humidity!!

I thought I had oily hair and scalp for the longest (because when I was a teenager, that was the case), and when I found out I actually had dry hair, I began searching for the best shampoo for my hair. I picked this up at Nijiya market in San Francisco's Japantown when I was visiting over the new year, and I must admit, I am in love. I live in the south, where it is very humid, and my hair (and fringe!) most definitely suffer, but this product makes my hair clean, shiny, and it stands up to the intense summer heat, so I have clean hair all day. I use the conditioner and the treatment as well, and it's actually repaired my damaged ends! :D
