hey there! ʕ♡˙ᴥ˙♡ʔ welcome to The Raven Halloween Makeup Tutorial, based on edgar allan poe's poem 'the raven.' this is the start of my halloween makeup tutorial series which i'm calling minspooky...get it...minspooky...minsooky...yeah ok o_o;

i originally got the idea for makeup look this from goldiestarling, who is an amazing makeup artist - she did a look based on edgar allan poe's poem back in 2012. when i first saw it i knew i wanted to create my own version of it (does anybody else think of doing makeup looks for 5 yrs or is it just me...?)

i too really love edgar allan poe, enjoyed reading his short stories a lot as a kid...so this was fun to create. i think creating makeup looks from literature is a very interesting concept, and it's only appropriate to feature edgar allan poe in a halloween series right :3

i wanted to keep the look fairly simple. i used construction paper layered on top of false eyelashes to create raven wings. this is a technique i've been doing since last year and it's a fantastic (and most importantly, CHEAP) way to customize false lashes.
