Last year I took them it was winter so obviously sweatpants and a sweatshirt but it's 70 and sunny, test starts at 8 and ends at 1.

Comfortable workout clothes maybe to keep you cool? Cotton shorts and a tank, sandles for your shoes. Or yoga pants! I'd also bring a light hoodie because me personally, I always end up really cold haha :)

With all due respect, I would not even allow myself to be concerned w what to wear in terms of an outfit or makeup to take my SATs. Be presentable, and direct any and all focus to your exam. It's important! I Good luck to you...go in there in ace it!

Oops I didn't even see the makeup and hair part! I'd wear my hair up in a ponytail and I'd just go bare faced lol.

Just be comfortable, the academics are more important then your looks.

I agree with Tonita and Kelly! Nobody else is going to be looking cute either it's a really long test, just be comfortable!

I agree just wear something that you know you are comfortable in. The last thing you want to be doing is stressing out about how uncomfortable your clothes are. And for hair just make sure it is out of your face.

^ I agree with everyone, no one cares about appearances, they're going to be focused on the exam. I'd just wear shorts or jeans, a sweatshirt and flip flops. I took my ACT a few weeks ago and I didn't wear any makeup, I just put my hair in a ponytail.

I agree with many of the beauties. When I took my SAT years ago I wore sweats and tennis shoes. I didnt even bother with makeup. When I took my GRE for grad school admissions...I rolled out of bed wearing workout pants,my husbands sweat shirt and threw on socks with my Birkenstocks and rolled out. I don't even think I did anything with my hair...but I made sure I brushed my teeth. You're going to see folks rolling in wearing pjs so don't put any focus in your appearance. Make your focus that exam. Good luck beautiful.

Lol yes Shelley same here when I took my GRE... Thank god that's over :P think I just wore yoga pants n a comfortable shirt and no makeup at all :P plus I had to drive like 2 hours away from where I lived just to take the test :T I think they have tips on the SAT website of suggestions on what to wear n bring to the test - they did for the GRE - or at least the Princeton study guide had suggestions :P.

I'm with you Shelley, I think I wore a track suit and g gym shoes cause I had a track practice after and I know I drank orange juice straight out of a half gallon jug the entire time.  Lol.

I agree with all of the ladies above. When I took my SAT's years ago I could care less about putting together an outfit & makeup. I definitely wore sweatpants, a t shirt with some sneakers. You definitely want to focus more on your academics that morning. When it's all said & done, go home & get cute :) Good luck!

I don't know about you but when I look good I feel more confident doing what I'm doing

I agree with Mary. I would do a light face, with your hair up and comfortable clothes. But bring a sweatshirt. Sometimes the rooms are drafty.

Layers. It could be cold or hot. Be comfortable and pull your hair back so it doesn't distract you. Good luck!
