Hey everyone.
so I have recently been looking into contouring and had a few questions about things I am unsure of, so any help would be great.

so for contouring what products do you actually use as I am not sure is it concealer or something else, would shade should it be am I right in saying it is two shades lighter.

for highlighting what proud to are you using and what shade should that be.

also I noticed other people use blush is that the only other product you need.

thank you.

For contouring you use a cool ashy color two shades darker than your skin tone and for highlight two shades lighter. You could use concealer, powder or cream for highlighting and contouring it's just personal preference :)

Countouring is going to be darker than your skin tone. You can use a cream or powder type product. The contour acts as a shadow to shape your facial structure. For contouring I use a matte bronzer. Highlighting is usually a lighter shade than your face. This highlights poibtd of your face you want to accentuate. I use a concealer about two shades lighter.

Make sure you don't use bronzer! People get pretty heated about that lol 😜 with contouring you don't want anything with shimmer because shimmer reflects light and reflecting brings forward that section (the opposite of contouring). You want to use a matte, grey brown to mimic the appearance of a shadow! It's all smoke and mirrors 😜 highlighting is a bit easier products wise as it says "HIGHLIGHTER" on most products. I recommend Kevyn Aucoin sculpting powder as I have heard amazing things about it on here!
