I just got my clear makeup bag. I just got hired. I am pretty thankful because I would rather have this job ( that has to do with beauty products because I am a Major beauty Junkie, always have been.) I know a few of the workers there because Ive been going in there for yearrrrsss. So I think thats a good thing. One of the Male Workers there always has talked to my boyfriend and I. He really enjoys seeing us, so now that I work there i am sure he will be just as nice because he knows my personality already. But I hope it works out great. Its prolly the Ideal Job for me to have while I am in school. ( like i said before. sorry, super tired from doing tons of homework all day and last night for school.)

They have those clear makeup bags because they want to make sure no one is stealing. your only allowed to bring in 5 of your beauty products.

Ari that's typical for lots of stores. I work pt at express and we have to be checked on the way out also.

I would love to work at sephora and have been thinking about applying did they ask you hard interview questions?
Dec 4, 2012
Sara S.
@ MaNASI S.Well no you do not need to know how to put on makeup before you apply at Sephora. From what i've researched they train you. I think that it helps but its all good if not. I honestly believe its about your personality and confidence to knowledge customers about Products. I honestly have always thrived off of beauty stuff, so has my twin sister...which is why she is a hair stylist and I am the makeup artist/skin expert. ( not bragging just giving you backround of myself.) Some people do not like sales...I honestly do not, but I DO enjoy helping people with beauty products and makeup all the time. Its about the Customers!
and Amanda o- They do not ask you that hard of questions. I mean, maybe the questions are hard to other people if you feel the need to "answer it right." As long as you are yourself no question can be hard because I think they can tell when people are just full of it.
Apply girl! Stop wishing and go after what you want. xo

Ashley, I currently work at Ulta and I'll be moving back home next month. Do you think it would be a shoe in for me that I already have experience at a beauty store?
Dec 5, 2012
Sara S.
@Vanessa! I think you will be fine. They do a lot of training even if you have a degree in makeup. I do and I do think it helps if you have that because it shows you really like learning about cosmetics and can apply it. But I think what they are looking for alot of the time is great personality, outgoing and eager to help anyone! But good luck! Go for it!

Ashley, did you start out as a seasonal employee and then work your way up to management? Congrats. I hope to manage sephora one day. I could totally do bomb. I learn so much from marketing school that I could handle it. Anyways talk to you chicka's later, i gotta study for an exam!
