Pressed powder or Loose powder?

So I'm a bit of a beginner makeup user, and I was wondering what the difference between pressed and loose powder is?
I recently bought Pixi illuminating tint & conceal, and now that I've put it on a couple times, I'm starting to realise it's a bit too shiny - what kind of powder should I use to create more of a matte look?

I would personally use pressed as it really gets rid of the shine. Loose powder is more of just a finishing powder. I use pressed powder everyday and I love it, it's
A lot easier to use than
Loose:)

Thanks :) yeah I forgot to mention that my skin is a bit oily, so I'll take your advice and go get some pressed powder.

I prefer pressed for a matte finish and I would suggest the rimmel stay matte. It's really good!
