I've been breaking out really bad the past couple months. I've always had acne but it's never been this bad; it started breaking out mostly toward my cheeks and chins and was inflamed. My dermatologist recently put me on Deoxycycline pills (2 a day) and Ziana gel, and she told me my face is gonna get worse before it gets better. So during the healing process, I need good makeup that will cover redness and bumps really well. Ive been using BareMinerals and Origins foundations which are fantastic but dont cover my acne the way I'd like. Please help!

I'd say you use the more expensive brands. Even though they cost more they cover your spots better and prove a lot more affective! Xx

I agree with Nayrouz, seen a lot of girls on youtube use Mac prolong wear concealer as a foundation to cover harsh acne.

I have had struggled with bouts of severe acne an I would recommend and oil free primer to help smooth out any pumps(I love PoreFessional by Benefit and Oil Free primer by Laura Mercier, the Sephora brand isn't too bad either if you need a cheaper option) then a full coverage matte foundation. Check our 24h by Lancôme or Matte Make up Forever. Good Luck!

U can try Revlon Colorstay or Dermablend it covers everything !

Dermablend specializes in covering major skin discolorations (vitiligo, surgery scars, extreme acne, tattoos, etc) it also doesn't break out the skin...I would suggest that, most Macy's and sephoras carry that line...I've used it numerous times to cover my clients tattoos...

For Foundation. I had a sample of Kat Von D & LOVED IT.
I have some breakouts every once in a while, mostly acne scarring though.
Also, ELF's Concealer palette works well for me on the face and revlon colorstay

I use bare minerals and use a smaller brush when you get to acne and cover it up with that it doesn't cover it up completely but it's sensitive to your skin so it won't be heavy and it won't make your breakouts worse . Bare minerals is the only make up I can use since my skin is so sensitive

I used to have what I thought was pretty bad acne and I bought make up forevers foundation and it did a very good job of hiding everything. But if you are going to be using heavy make up while your acne is bad I heavily suggest buying a clarisonic. Putting all this extra make up on isn't going to help your acne go away at all so you need to make sure you get it all out of your pores after you're done wearing it for the day. A clarisonic cleans your face 20x better than washing it manually, and my skin is basically clear now that I've been using one for a few months. It helped my acne go away and I no longer use that heavy foundation because I don't need it!

I've been using Dr.jart Bb cream (with SPF 45) and Revlon color stay foundation. The Bb cream has improved my skin a lot (I've had trouble with it being dry and lacking smoothness, which the Bb cream helps with) and the foundation has great coverage, especially for the cost. Also, the foundation covers well and doesn't make my acne worse.

Mac studio fix is brilliant and will cover any spots and redness . It lasts all day and makes your skin look fresh and dewy and doesn't clog or appear too thick x

There are lots of great choices mentioned here, so I'll just add that try to not wear makeup whenever possible, your skin will be much happier =)
