I don't believe so. Acne is an under the skin problem. Not moisturizing will just get you dry skin.

I think it really depends on the skin type. I've never used moisturizer but I have used lotion. People say you should because it causes acne. I've never gotten acne from it ever. Also it could depend on the moisturizer you are using, really it just depends on the persons skin.

I have occasional breakouts and oily skin and I moisturize morning and night. It realllllllyyyy helps me a lot. I used to not really care about moisturizing as because my skin is oily so I didn't moisturize unless I needed to. But I really think moisturizing helps keep mine at bay. You just have to find the right lotion. Just how I feel! ☺️

Like everyone else is saying, it depends on the person. Before I started my skin routine where I was just washing my face I had terrible acne and big, no hugeeee open pores and hyper pigmentation and I was super oily. Then I was told to moisturize after washing my face and it really helped. My redness has gone down my pores have closed up and I'm not as oily. So it really depends on the person.

Well when you wash your face it strips your skin from all of its natural oils
So If you don't replace those oils with a moisturizer then you skin will over produce oil to make up for the oil lost
If that makes sense

It's always important to moisturize after you wash your face even if you have oily skin

So not moisturizing dosnt mean that you will break out or get acne because it really depends on the person but for some people the extra oil will clog there pores making them breakout

No, not moisturizing is not a necessary step in skin care and too much moisture can actually cause problems for your skin.
If you are using a proper ( keyword being proper here ) toner, serum, or whatever it may be that will contain antioxidants and skin repairing ingredients a proper moisturizer would contain then you should be fine not using one. Moisturizers are not for everyone and some products already offer the benefit of moisturizing.

Moisturizing stops your face from producing as much oil
