The lipstick is cute, but it looks a lot like rebel.
They could have chosen someone better, that actually wears some makeup. I've never seen lorde wear eyeshadow, just eyeliner and lipsticks. So it's weird that they'd use her for the collection.

She's 17. And I don't think you look 16 Hannah, I always assumed you were around 19-20.

But I have no idea if it's matte or not, I kinda hope so though as I have Violetta by them and it's super shiny.

Lol Hannah I don't think she's trying to look older. Even when she first came out (here in Canada all the radio stations clung to her the moment she put out a song) she didn't at all look 16. She's just got one of those faces that looks older than it is. And when your both 60 some you'll be glad you looked younger lol

Lol well thanks all for thinking I look my age. And I'm inclined to agree with Gen, this isn't much of a collection; the least she could've done (if dark lips are her signature?) would be to put out 3 or 4 different dark shades. But that's neither here nor there.

See if I were in charge at Mac, I'd do collections with people who do makeup everyday that is different. The only people that come to mind is lady gaga and nicki minaj, but I'm sure there's tons of celebrities who wear more than eyeliner and one lipstick.

See, she's huge here in Canada. Her songs are on literally every radio station, every store has her songs on their playlists and everybody knows who she is. Even my mom knows who she is, and my mom pays no attention to pop culture. She's more talked about here than justin bieber.

I think it's really cool actually that they chose her. She has a unique style, and I love how she's not afraid to show her natural side, and even shows her using acne medicine and stuff in her insta pictures. I just think she's really real, and not afraid to be different. I wouldn't really consider it a collection either but I think it works!

I think a huge reason I never really get hyped about MAC is that their collections just never excite or impress me. Maybe its the packaging. I get that they probably just keep it all black so it looks sleek and professional but I'd be lying if I said it doesn't bore me. That and nothing ever looks to be all that groundbreaking. I could find the colors of pretty much any collection anywhere, even from them themselves.

I like Lorde though. But her makeup doesn't really impress me either. It's pretty simple and anyone could achieve it without the use of MAC products targeted at them. I wasn't a super fan of Rihanna's collection either though. I thought that offering a lipstick that you already have but with just a different undertone was pretty crappy of them honestly. While it's helpful and I'm sure people could definitely use it, it's not original at all.
