Hello,
I have been searching for a quality make up kit to gift to my friend for the holidays.
I have been browsing around but unfortunately have just been finding kits that are low quality or are just filled with sample sizes.
I would like a kit that at least has a good selection of eye shadow and blush. I am open to any other cosmetics to be included, the only one not really desired is concealer.
Does such a kit exist? Or will I be better off purchasing various different cosmetics and combining them into a kit myself?
I am looking to spend up to $150, slightly more if necessary.
Thank you so much for any insight you can offer.

There are plenty out there. Sephora has a whole bunch at the moment. The Too Faced Sweet Indulgence Palette comes with a good variety of everything. You get 12 shadows, 2 blushes, 2 bronzers, a full size primer, a highlighter, brush, and it comes with cards that show you how to recreate looks. The Lorac Eye Candy Full Face Kit is also great. It comes with 12 eye shadows, 4 gel eyeliners, and 4 lip/cheek cream colors. They are all packaged to look like candy bars and are super cute plus high quality. The Stila Snow Angel Color Palette is also a great option. It comes with 12 cheek colors and 18 eye shadows all in one package that looks like a snowflake.....I have all three and they are good quality and worth the money. There are a couple other things that would be good to throw in too since these will only run you about 50 bucks. Tarte has a 4 piece blush holiday set that is stellar. I hope this was helpful :)

Tarte has a few holiday palettes out now that have an amazing super sized amount of eye shadows, blushes, and lip glosses.

There is a site that has a bunch of great starter kits put together.

OR I would personally do what Ari suggested and just get a bunch of different stuff and put together your own kit.

First of all, can we be friends?! Because I would love that gift! Seriously though, I think you would probably be better off making your own kit. Not only would you be sure to get what you need/want, it also would be a bit more personal, because you can include things you like and that you know would be something your friend would like too. Good luck!

There is a bunch of kits at Sephora & Mac. If you just want eyeshadow try the naked 2 palette by Urban Decay(:
