I planned to dye my hair next weekend and my hairs still a little dry. What should I do beforehand so it doesn't damage my hair even more?

A few hair masks, deep conditioning. Try to get it in the best condition possible.

I don't wash my hair two days or a day before coloring, because the more oil, the more protected the hair is. Now don't go weeks without washing just a few days.

@jacqlyn I've heard that it should be dirty or it should be clean. Which is it? I'm confused :/

Dirty. When it's dirty, it has more oil in it, which will protect your hair.

Make sure you have some colour protect products- wash it and maybe even do a hair mask and personally in my experience colour takes best when your hair is a bit dirty and in need of a wash

Definitely deep condition beforehand. And dye on dirty hair-- not only is there more oil to help protect the hair, but if you wash your hair the day of you stimulate your scalp and when you dye your hair the dye will irritate your scalp causing major itching and/or burning. And make sure to get some good color protecting hair products for afterwards :)
