I have long and full lashes from myself, but when I do my mascara on it's not pretty, my mascaras are super good but I can't do it right I think, any tips?

Hi Jacqlyn , what did you like about that mascara? I'm just curious because I was eyeing that one.

A great trick is to put Vaseline on your eyelashes before you go to bed. I tried this out and within a week or so I could really tell a difference

Do you have the Dior show or the Dior show Iconic?

Ok thanks,I just want to know what's the difference between the wands from the Dior show and The Benefit They're real?

I'm really a huge proponent of lash primers. I prefer Lancôme's because I feel like it gives a very long, fluttery look no matter what mascara you use over top. However, I also utterly love the Per-fekt Lash Perfecting Gel. It's nourishing for your lashes, and has a very skinny, fine brush that works well for lengthening and separating lashes.

Diorshow ALL the way. I agree with Jacqlyn, They're Real clumps my lashes up. I have long blonde lashes and Dior is hands down the best for reaching the roots and not clumping them up.

Just to be clear it's Not the Diorshow New look right? I have the They're Real Mascara which does have extending bristles that protrude beyond the cylinder base of the brush,I don't understand what you mean when you say you could get closer to the base of your lashes with the Dior show simply based on the design of the wand alone. Can you please elaborate? I'm just a bit confused.

I have the travel size Benefit They're Real and it clumps quite badly but the full size one I have no problem with... Not sure how that works.

I love they're real, but I find it does nothing on its own. I use another mascara, then use they're real to separate and get the tiny edges that most mascaras miss like the very inner and outer corners. On it's own it either clumps if there's too much product, or when I wipe the excess off and try again, it does nothing and just looks very very natural like I had no product on the brush. I use it everyday, but as my separating mascara.

I use both They're Real and Dior. Both are awesome! they're real is great for the false eyelashes look. Really defines the lashes. I use the Diorshow Extasy when I want a fuller lush look. Dior first then layered with They're Real will make your lashes look unbelievable!

Was hoping to see an actual side by side picture since I'm more visual when it comes to comparing products (bummer).I really don't think because you have a travel size would matter, the brushes are the same you just get less product. Thanks anyways I appreciate you guys taking the time to try and explain the products, which I may just have to go in and Actually buy the product myself and compare. :)

They're Real is runny! It's drowns my eyelashes. Definitely prefer Bad Gal to They're Real. I have blonde eyelashes if that makes a difference.

Alma if my Dior wasn't old and clumpy now (like Cali said) I would do one eye with each so you could see. I might be getting some more this week, if so ill take some pics for you.

Yep Jaclyn! Same here. I think I only got 3 lashes...

@jacqlyn which dior show are you using? There's many, I have found that it works a million times better with the primer, Depending on which one you had is a difference these 2 I have are ver spread out and work really good and the primer looks very like the benefit and works really good to prime and separate they're real was really good I'm sorry you had problems with it.

@Dilara, what kind of issues are you having with your mascara now?

I have a love/hate relationship with they're real by benefit. it works well if you apply it slowly, starting right on the ladylike, being careful to wriggle the wand to separate the lashes (as works best with any mascara).

you might have good luck with a mascara like maybelline's the mega plush which is more brush like with lotss of soft bristles. :)

Alma, I've used almost all of the different types of Diorshow. I think I tossed everything when I went through a cosmetics purge. I liked the "New Look" the least. It seemed more defining than volumizing. The original Iconic's brush was hard to get used to after using the original Diorshow for so long. I think the Iconic (original, not overturn) wand was similar to Benefit's they're real from pix. It clumped less than the reg Diorshow. But I agree with Velen --two months MAX out of any of the formulas before they started clumping, flaking, etc.

Pssst...try Mally's if you're heading to Ulta. I've converted quite a few. O:-) Hopefully it might work for your needs!

You can fake it. I use 2-3 different mascaras sometimes to make them look like falsies.

I think if you want Evan longer looking lashes be sure to use a lash curler and curl your lashes. And to make it better get a lash comb as we'll. and if they are not so good with mascara just put some on the ends of your lashes.
