I usually rub my palm together to create heat then I pour a small of foundation on my finger tips and rub it into my face.

P.s. You won't get a professional or natural finish just using your fingers. It tends to be streaky or uneven. Your best using a flat foundation brush or a stippling brushing depending on your skin.

Some thicker makeup textures I prefer to use my fingers to warm up product properly. Some I like a brush. I wash my hands thoroughly start applying in the center of the face and tap outward. For thicker bb and cc creams this works perfect.

Better than a beauty blender is UD's Optical Blurring Brush or Foundation brush. Seriously awesome.

When applying with hands it's important to use a downward motion. And blend out the edges. I do this when I'm pressed for time.
