So I have medium/long length hair, (when on my back its right at my elbows) fine, thin/regular, naturally pin straight, and its brown. I'm considering layers but I do some pretty "unique" hair styles so I have a few questions
1.) will I still be able to put it in a high pony?
2.) do peices come out easily in French braids, fish tales, lace rope braids for my side bangs?
3.) is it worth it?
4.)Pros
5.) cons

I have layers:)
1 if you have long hair an you have layers yes you will be able to put it in a high pony depending on how big your layers are if there longer layers and there more at the bottom of your hair you will have no problems if there shorter layers you may need too use some bobby pins
2 yes there will be some sticky out pieces in braids but it can make the more messy affect
But in this case hair spray is your best friend
3 I think layers are worth it it can make your hair look much more interesting and nice when it's down and if you flat iron your hair your hair won't be just straight at the bottom it will make it look really nice
4 it makes your hair look thicker and much nicer and when you curl your hair it has shorter and longer pieces which looks nice
5 you. Do get those pocky pieces in braids

1. I think a high ponytail is doable; I do it and have no problems
2. Pieces do tend to come out in braids but you just have to get creative with bobby pins and hairspray
3. Definitely worth it. I love my layers
4. They keep my hair from looking and feeling weighted down and about 2000 tons
5. You may have difficulty doing some hairstyles

1) yes! As long as you tell them to keep your layers long
2) yes! Braid styles tend to be difficult
3) yes... Layers look great
4) you avoid the Christmas tree effect where your hair puffs out
5) BRAIDS

1.) as long as they're long layers, you might have issues with short ones.
2.) kind of. It shouldn't be that bad, as long as they're long layers.
3.) yeah, I guess.
4.) read Jacqlyn's

Maybe start off with long-ish layers, so ir won't be too much of an inconvenience. If you like having them, then get the shorter layers!

I have long layers and everytime I get tgem I don't notice a thing, it doesn't look like my hair has layers at all. it only tapered the last inch.

1. Yep
2. Yep.
3. Yep. Makes it so much easier to manage!
4. Pros - Easier to manage, takes less time to dry and straighten and curl and whatever.
5. Cons - Braiding is more difficult and sometimes it falls out. Doughnut buns are more difficult but it's not undoable
