I have learned how to contour my fave so it doesn't look all round
That I can wear a bright/bold lip
How to fill in my brows
How to apply falsies
How to add some color to my face with blush
To try new colors!
Most importantly I got the courage to get 9 inches cut off my hair I never had it so short (: I love how helpful everyone in here is , and there constructive critism definitely helps!! My second pic sort of washes me out but I do have blush(:

1) Not use bronzer as a contour
2) What looks great on one person may not look great on me no matter how hard I try
3) Practice makes perfect

Omg where do I start! My friends think I'm a pro now!

- Not to contour with bronzer because SHADOWS ARE GREY NOT BROWN.
- Blending is key
- How to do a cut crease!!
- How to apply lippie properly, not just going 'right that's done' when it's everywhere

Beautylish has literally transformed me! I'm updated in my appearance, my skill, my knowledge. I learn new things everyday and I can't be more grateful for this app. I've only been here only 7 months and you girls have changed me for the better.

I've learned so many things!
• Winged eyeliner
• how to flatter my eyeshape
• how to even apply eyeshadow
• how to find my skin tone /undertone
• how to tell what a REAL smokey eye is
•eyeshadow shapes
• how to apply concealer
The list goes on!
In the first picture ( about eight months ago) I wasn't wearing any makeup, nor did I know how to apply it.
In the second, I am wearing concealer and mascara and eyeliner and it looks great! ( also ten-15 pounds heavier)I never even attempted makeup before this site, now I know a great deal and I am SO grateful for Beautylish, because without out it, I wouldn't have felt even close to comfortable with my own body, and myself in general.

I've learned so many things here including:

- the importance of skin care.
- How to better my eyebrows.
- Blend, blend, blend and blend some more (:
- diy's
- don't be scared to try new colors.
- love myself

I've learned so much. Things such as:
- What an undertone is and how to identify which type you are
- How to take care of my eyebrows, and how to fill them in
- How important it is to take care of your skin - I never really cared much before, now I'm a skincare junkie!
- How to apply eye shadow like a pro and BLEND BLEND BLEND
- Different types of brushes, what they're used for and the difference between natural and synthetic bristles
- Various application techniques - before I came here, all I was doing was applying eyeliner, one color of eye shadow, mascara, and that was it. I never ventured into face makeup. Now I can't live without it.
- Different makeup brands. Before BL, I had no idea what Smashbox, Hourglass, or Too Faced was.
- Don't be scared to try new colors.

This site is seriously heaven sent...no idea where I'd be without it :)

I love the before and after shots! Shelby, you're a doll no matter what, but your after shot is so flattering to YOUR beauty and not the product, KWIM? Really pretty!

I've feel I've learned so much about products, just hearing the reviews from everyone on here on what works, what doesn't, is so helpful to me. That sharing of information is exciting and it's so nice to have you all to "talk shop" with. I don't have anyone IRL that I can blab away to about why I just love Dior Show or how much I'm loving my new Kryolan eyeshadow palette.

Bree what kryolan palette did you get?

Besutylish helped me through this bleak time of my life. I gave up what I thought was my dreams and moved back home. I felt incapacitated that I couldn't even get myself to make the effort to get a job, move on and move out. The editorials on this app were educational and entertaining. The talk section helped me feel connected to a community who are so passionate and kind. The moments I've spent on this app allowed me to get away from my reality and enjoy something for my own sake.

All the mushy and emo gushing aside...I've learned a lot esp the importance of reading the ingredients and learned some ingredients that are fillers.

Thank you so much all you lovely people!

P.S. I'm moving on, moving out and restarting graduate school next month :)

Beautylish has served as such an eye opener and inspiration to me! I have branched out with different product lines I'd never known before, found some excellent advice on skin care (mostly thanks to Traci and Shelley), application tips, different looks...just everything! I have become more interested in teaching myself specific eye makeup looks and have gone from I would say novice to intermediate in terms of a professional looking makeup application. More importantly, this community has given me a source of support and an outlet to share my love for makeup/beauty with others as equally obsessed as myself hahaha❤️❤️

I actually used to wear exactly the same makeup everyday before I joined BL xD. So, this community really encouraged me, to try out new looks and colour combinations.

Alma, I got the Variety Eyeshadow Palette V3
Yeah, I'm loving it. I've swatched it and used one color on myself. It's really pretty in person and the shadow in soft but the payoff is just what you would want it to be.

Let's see... I've learned about product lines I didn't know much, if anything about. Techniques such as cut crease. I started wearing lipstick again. I generally stuck with glosses. I've learned that there's so many beauty addicts out there lol. And I love seeing what looks you all come up with.
