Can anyone recommend a good foundation for oily skin, all the foundations I have tried just glide off my face after a couple of hours I'm currenrly using laura mercier's silk cream foundation but that does cake and melt after a couple of hours.

Revlon colour stay foundation is the one I'm currently using and is great at keeping oil at bay and really good coverage too, highly recommend

Any sort of "cream" foundation will definitely just melt off. you should also use a primer and a setting powder to stop it from sliding off. I recommend:

- MUFE matte velvet +
- Kat von d lock it tattoo foundation
- Tarte

I second mufes mat velvet. I.just started using it and it stays on for a good 7 to 8 hours. I also use Bare minerals oil control primer. after I apply primer I apply a thin layer of translucent powder all over my face and THEN my foundation. then more setting powder. my make up stays on all day and I only have tto blot and touch up maybe once or twice.

I like Estée Lauder double wear, as well as dermablend and the tarte foundation.

Also it helps to use a mattifying primer and setting powder.

CoverGirl Outlast 3-in-1. You may also want to try applying your setting powder right after your moisturizer, then your foundation, and powder again. You may need to experiment with this as not everyone has luck with this but it really keeps your makeup up longer and controls oil better. Loose or pressed powder will work fine. If your face feels a little tight/too dry after, then just use a setting spray.

Hourglass immaculate foundation!!
