I want to do this to my hair at home. I've colored my hair a bunch of times I just don't know hot to get it like that since it pulled up. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated!  :)

It looks like you should have the blonde frame your face, have the rest be a burgundy color and random thick streaks of red.

The way I'd do it is by separating the sections and dying each section at one time, like dye the blonde bit then let it dry pin it out the way and carry on to the next or you could use foil to wrap your hair in sections and do it that way :)

I had my hair like that only with purple and another time with blue. My stylist uses foils on mine to dye each section.

Gorgeous. Are you using powder bleach or something like Clairoxide? I'm pretty sure Velen is our resident expert on blonde. Perhaps she could be of assistance.

I use bleach powder from sallys and leave it on as long as possible multiple times and doesn't work :/

Hmm...Most of the year, my stylist uses 20 volume for lift (my hair is dishwater..ugh) and we just add a few foils in the summer with powder to lighten it up. I know my stylist uses Pravana to color my hair. She divides my black into sections and foils them in rows...taking care to rinse them carefully and with cool water. I wish I could be of more help. :/

I will say this...color blocked hair, while fabulous, is a lot of upkeep to stay on point.

I just did the bottom half of mine blue and the top pink and the colors didn't bleed together surprisingly. We did the darker color first and it was on the bottom so when I wash my hair the pink wouldn't turn purple. We just sectioned my hair off and than when we finished the bottom half we covered it in foils. If normal powder bleach doesn't work for you try cream bleach, it lifted my hair a lot better.

What type of developer do you use with your bleach? that could most likely be your problem.

Either a 20 or 30.

I got my hair that blonde by using the highest developer from sallys and then using the ice blonde box dye by schwarzkopf :)

Did it fry your hair too bad?

I did leave it a couple of days between doing each one, but when washing out the blonde box dye I left Aussie 3 minute miracle deep conditioner on afterwards and it left it soft :)

I know this is an old post but I stumbled upon it since I too want to have the beautiful ashleah fox hair and I see incorrect information. Megan the reason your hair wasn't lifting to an actual blonde is bleach alone won't lift dark to light, it goes shades of orangy yellow (sound familiar? ) no amount of re-bleaching or harsh developer can change that. Its the pain of being blonde, the rule is cheap and simple. Immediately ( no more than 24 hrs) with a 20 vol developer you need to tone it. Toner is 3 dollars or so a sallys and it tones out orange and yellows leaving the beautiful blonde. The toner level should match your hairs level of blonde, because it isnt a dye or bleach it won't lift color so don't run straight for the snow white hair toner until your a light blonde. The process is called double processing hair, after bleach your hair follicles are open the toner works (in a warm room it takes 2 minutes) After treating post bleach damage with nourishing protein treatment (combats the stretchy breaking strands) and oil treatment (frizz) seals the cuticle to help stop breakage. If you waited too long post bleach to tone grav a bottle of sallys purple shampoo 5$ and it will be a life saver. NEVER bleach repetitively, I learned everything after I was told to dye my long light blonde hair black and regretted it with a run to sallys, after using color oops (Grey brown with orange spots) then bleach (orange) again and again until I was a neon mix of orange and yellow with dark spots on my scalp. My cooked spaghetti hair streatched 6 inches before ripping into a million frays when wet and frizzed to a crimp look that broke dry even after soaking my head in eggs and mayo weekly and towel heat wrapping it at night in pure morraccan, keratin, argan, coconut vitamin c and olive oil. It was cut to a 1/2in. I now 3 years later have hair mid chest. After all the "I told you so's" and years of people telling me how I should have left my hair be and how beautiful it "used" to be. I don't want another girl trying to look good without having to take out a second mortgage fall victim to the spoils of sallys with uneducated employees

Ashleah fox shares info on her twitter and pintrest about her extensions and who colors them for her. I want to see her make youtube videos of her styling her hair. Soo much volume. Idk how much is natural and what is Remy but it blows my mind how she goes through beautiful colorful looks without fade and damage.
