I want to dye my hair a super unnatural color but I'm not 100% sure which color would suit me best. I love teal and ocean colors but I'm afraid I'd look sickly because of my super olive skin
I also need help on which products such as strippers, toners, dyes etc. are most recommended (I prefer no animal testing) because I want the best results if I'm going to essentially destroy my hair lol. I have a few pics on my profile if you need an idea of what I look like :)
ps. I am going to ask my sister in law to do it for me because she's a professional and I want it done right! she's letting me choose the products

As for color, I think if you did a blue ombr?, from dark to light, would look good on you. As for products and such, I really can't give any recommendations. Hope this helps :)

Manic panic have fantastic hair colours, they are vegan hair dyes. To get best results you would need to bleach your hair though.

How bright do you want to go? You will have to bleach your hair to a pale platinum blonde no matter what. I'd ask your sister in law to bring what they use in a salon, since that's how I get mine bleached and the few times I've bleached at home it was from drugstore kits, if you use a blue bleach it will tone as it bleaches resulting in less yellow or orange tones. For teal or blue you will have to make sure there are no yellow or orange tones or it will go a sickly green brown color in those places (trust me, it's not a pretty color). Prepare for lots of upkeep, as with bright dyes you may have to dye it every two weeks or more. It lasts differently on everybody, I suggest special effects dye, they don't test on animals and I find it lasts longest. Or manic panic is more readily available at Sally's. Atomic turquoise mixed with shocking blue is what I used for my teal hair. I had to dye it every 3 weeks or it would fade to a green color. If you have any other questions ask away, I've had colored hair for about 5 years now. :)
Also, if you want to know how it looks, I'd suggest going to a costume store or dollar store and buying a few cheap wigs, test the colors on your skin and that way you can see if colors look good, if you'd like it and plus it's fun haha. :)

Kenzie go on youtube and look up Guy Tang. He tells you a two by step process on out to get 'mermaid' hair. He is a professional hair colorist, he's phenomenal, and his videos could really help you!

I would use hair chalk in a color youre interested in to see how it looks on you. Then if you like it, get a hair dye in that color :)

Since your sister is a stylist she will know the best bleach to use for your hair, I use a matrix vligt which is a purple bleach to tone out a lot of yellow. She probably already knows this, and someone else has already said this on here... But you want to get to a pale yellow (level 9-10) or how ever high your hair will go. I have a friend that uses Schwarzkopf bleach and swears by it.
As far as the actual color, I swear by Pravana is has amazing staying power! They now have pastels too which make customizing your own color so much easier. When mixing the color take the brush with a tiny bit of color on it and brush it onto a paper towel.. That's great way to see how it will most likely come out to on your hair.
For after care, wash your hair as little as possible. When you do wash it, make sure it's in COLD water!! Get a color safe hydrating shampoo and try to deep condition weekly or bi-weekly to keep your hair as healthy as possible. Oh and it might make your shower blue...
But it's all well worth it (:
Hope this helps, if you have any other questions feel free to ask me!!

Prevana hair color last the longest of the unnatural hair dyes I've tried.
