I've had red. And the lasting colour is so awful. Every time I washed it I'd come out with a lighter safe of red!

If you go red. Get more of a "mocha".. Or a "RB" or "RV" it's still brown just more of a tiny and if you get it done professionally ask for a little blue kicker to make sure if and when it fades it doesn't turn out orangy.

a straight red may be a bit bright for your skin tone, a burgundy would be pretty. you can try a temporary glaze like Paul Mitchell's PM Shines which will wash out. I personally like a darker color against fair skin, going lighter may wash you out

Highlights would be pretty good! I had red hair ( like fire red) and it was just too much to deal with especially when it fades! So I ended up just dying it black :) it was the only way to get rid of the red c(:

I have had red before its a pain to keep up but the more you color it red the less it fades maybe not a true red I would say violet red ! That would look good. There is also a bleach now that doesn't bleach your hair blonde it bleaches it red do that then put a nice violet red on your hair :) level 5rv

Oh and If you color your hair red wash your hair with cold water and get a shampoo and conditioner with red pigment in it to keep the red longer :)
