The left is ulta and right is sephora. What's going on with sephoras prices? I feel like they've been raising prices a lot lately...

Sephora's prices are never the same for me :s
I'll look on their site at products, but when I go to buy them in-store, they're always more expensive..
I paid $62 for my Naked 3 palette :/

Well urban decay has increased their price also so it might not be to much longer and ulta will also. I'm lucky enough to have about 6 or more sephoras around me and there all $52, as far I've notice but I'm sure that will change since it's changed on urban decay & sephora.

I always call and ask the customer service line when I have questions with the online price (: or bring it to one of the girls in-store! they are always really nice and help me get the best deal possible (: they explained it to me that sometimes the company may adjust prices or can be simple as typos.

I would have to say I prefer Sephora though, you can try and sample everything before you buy, your points never expire like ulta, and the ones around me are always so knowledgeable on trends and can show you in the beauty studio!

I agree Ashley. I also like the samples and points system.

I just went to sephora like a week ago and it was $54 I just thought it was weird. Prices just keep getting higher for makeup :/

Ulta has the points system, great BOGO's or 50% off with a second item purchase, something for every budget and are great with samples. Still, I find the staff at Sephora refreshingly knowledgeable, incredibly patient no matter how busy they are and a level of personal attention that Ulta simply cannot match...which may be why their prices are higher. They also have some of my favs that Ulta does not carry. In store, I'll pay a little more for that experience. I leave Sephora with generous samples of products tailored to my skin..products that are high end and last quite some time and so that helps save me money in the long run.
I've had girls hunt down ingredients to check for irritation or soothing my complexion...ugh..their Chicago downtown location has insanely fabulous service.

If ordering online, I always run with who costs the least. It is an identical item and you don't need a consultation or personalization for that..lol It is disappointing to see them crank up online pricing. :/

I just bought mine last week in the store for 52. I think thats just the online price, but thats so strange that the price is different.

It seems to me that Sephora raises prices during the BI/VIB sales. And they have one going on right now, so that could have something to do with it.
