I attended cosmetology school very very briefly close to two years ago. I only got to go for about two weeks and had to drop out due to medical reasons. but anyway I recently drug my basically unused kit out of the closet and in it was the nano titanium babyliss pro straightener. I have never used it and didn't know really anything about it until I looked it up earlier. I had no idea it was such an expensive one! the reviews all seemed to say how awesome it was with the exception of it can get extremely hot. I wanted some of you lovely ladies thoughts and opinions about it before I even attempt to use it. thanks in advance.

I too am a "beauty school dropout", 3 kids, a baby that woke at 5am, class from 6-10pm, then home and homework M-F wasn't to bed until 12. After 3 months I couldn't do it anymore :(
Anyway, we also got all Babyliss tools, LOVE them! My straightener is different but I use mine set to "11", which is about the halfway point, on my very thick but fine and silky hair.

For too much static, and to help set the hair, use a spritz of a hairspray before straightening. I use Loreal's Elnett. If you've got extra funds, I would buy Bumble&Bumble's Does it All.

I use Chi cream total protect on damp hair and Redken 28 for curling. They last me days on end. I only use mine a few times a month though. I'm big on rollers.

Roz, do you use hot rollers? I'm wanting to try them but I just keep looking at them online and reading reviews and I'm scared!
