It is actually blended out nicely between the two colors but the black color isn't blended out enough to the skin. Try using a flesh tone eyeshadow to help make the process of blending out the harshness of the black.

I honestly use a cheaper brush from elf. Simply because I spend a lot on eye shadow brushes in sets. So elf has brushes for $1 that really get the job done when it comes to blending! And honestly as everyone says it looks well blended!
