Not really beauty related, but girls, before you order a dress, prom, homecoming, etc, make sure that you look up the website and make sure it's not a scam. I ordered from fairyin.com, and the dress came nothing like the picture. They're tricky, you can't return the dress. Make sure you check, I would hate for any proms to be ruined because of stupid fraud sites!

Thanks girl! My friend ordered from there too, and the dress arrived NOTHING like the picture, it was a totally different colour (advertised and shown as yellow, came as a browny-orange), and half of the sequins had come off and loads of loose thread. They wouldn't let her return it as it apparently was a 'fault of transit', which it clearly wasnt!

Hi Claire,Great point and thanks for sharing. I think it is important to always research and I'm sorry to hear you got scammed.Do they happen to have a number you can call? Thank you for putting it in the correct category. I have contacted the company but nothing in return. One thing that struck as suspicious was the lack of a phone number, and when you do the live chat, you will most likely not receive and answer and when you do it's in very poor English and always from "Chuck". Just be careful I would hate for anyone's prom to be ruined due to fraud dresses!

I had that bad experience with my prom dress. I ordered from some website from China. It was supposed to be a black cocktail dress with beading under the bust in a size 7. When I got it, it was BROWN and didn't have sequins and it was a size 1. Obviously they sent me the wrong dress. I tried to return it and they refused to refund my order.

I was weary of ordering my prom dress online last year, but I ended up taking the risk and doing it. I ordered it from jenjenhouse.com, which is a company in China and my dress turned out great! It looked exactly like the picture and it fit perfectly. Also, it only cost me $125 which is a great price. I recommend ordering from there if you're looking online and are on a budget.

Most dresses you find online can be found exactly or very similar on Amazon. And Amazon is great about customer service with anything that has been sold thru their site. I have bought literally hundreds of items from Amazon and have yet to have a bad experience.
