I start a new job tomorrow as a supervisor at a garden center. I have a few concerns regarding a beauty routine. I want to look presentable and taken seriously.

Makeup:
I do not intend on going crazy with makeup since I will be working outside and getting dirty. I would like to wear some type of foundation that can protect my face as well. Should I use a tinted moisturizer? BB cream? Or CC cream? I am possibly leaning towards a water proof mascara as well and also lip balm with sun protector in it.

Since I will be outside, I will purchase sunscreen. What SPF should I use? 30 or 45?

And as for hair, my hair will be up most of the time; however, are there any products out there that can repair sun damage? I do not like wearing hats.

I got to be honest, I will be working with men. I have worked in the industry before but I do want to look decent (more honesty: there is this one guy who is really cute that I will be working with). With that being said, the last thing I want are my associates to think I am a princess (even though I am 😜💁👑)

Is there anything else that I should add into my beauty routine for work? Anything that I should add in and do specifically so there isn't a lot of wear and tare?

It sounds to me like dog (the higher the better), a little blush and mascara, don't forget spf lip balm, and if you are wearing your hair up make sure to get the backs of your ears and neck, trust me, I had the same job 15 years ago. Besides all that you are adorable and probably don't need the makeup at all. Good luck!

Thank you Kelly. I'm already lining up the weather and already have an extra bag filled with clothes. It's going to rain up here. My old garden center, I worked with all girls so our bathroom was filled with so much sunscreen (also tampons - but I can't do that with the guys)

Actually a higher spf is not good for your skin. the highest you should wear is an spf of 30. anything higher than that clogs pores and doesn't let your skin breathe which then causes bacteria build up and breakouts. for foundation its a personal preference. cc creams are for colour correcting I've never used them but I've heard good things about them. it also depends what finish you want and what type of coverage you want. tinted moisturize are definitely a sheer coverage and BB creams are usually a lighter coverage. since I have oily skin I find on me BB creams tend to make me oily looking. I would definitely invest in a good primer and setting powder!

I love Maybelline mascara. also fresh sugar lip treatments contain spf and are amazinggg but pricey.

Shauna, I don't want to go crazy with the makeup since I'm either going to sweat it off or get dirty. Believe me, at times I came home with mulch or soil on my face and look myself in the mirror and say "how did this happen" 😂 don't BB cream also have "things" that are beneficial for your face?

Hahaha yeah working outside can really ruin makeup. yes bb creams arw supposed to be a moisturizer, primer, spf, foundation and have other skin benefits. however American bb creams don't really do that properly lol. if you want to invest in a real bb cream check out some Asian brands such as holika holika and etude house. :)

For a tinted moisturizer I'm actually loving marcelle sheer tint moisturizer. it has an spf and gives a light amount of colour to your face to hide redness. but I have very oily skin and it doesn't make my face oily at all and it makes it look bright and glowy.

Are Asian BB creams expensive?

No they're very reasonable priced, nothing crazy.definitely check online to see some prices. they can be hard to find in store where I live but you might have more luck where you live. I also recommend checking out Cliniques cc cream I've heard so many amazing things about it
