I have no idea how to blend eyeshadow or anything. I usually just put one color on and that's it. Please help :(

Dark colors on the outside, light colors on the inner corners to open and brighten eyes. So black and silver, dark brown and a champagne.

By its very nature, a smokey eye is a dark, rich color all around the eye. Because of that, if you don't know the proper technique for it, smokey eyes really aren't good for beginners. If you learn to do things like gradients (what Jacqlyn posted), or a simple look with one color over the lid and a darker shade in the crease or outer V, you'll have a good foundation of blending to create a smokey eye =) However, I still don't recommend it until you actually have some experience with eyeshadow, it can be really, really tricky.

True smokey eye, and Jacqlyn , we were all there once relax! It's a learning process! I used to think that was a smokey eye too!
