So, I'm 5'0 and a senior in high school. Let's say at my school I might be the shortest one there lol. I love the style of Maxie skirts and the hippie long pants (whatever try are called). I've been close to buying but I'm Afraid because I'm so short that it could look awkward on me. Anyone have any tips of how us short girls could wear those types of bottoms? Or are they really meant for the taller type?

I think if you like them you should definitely try them, in my opinion it doesn't matter if you're short or tall, you can wear whichever types of clothing you like. I'm also short and enjoy hippie pants haha, I wear them with just a singlet :)

Girl wear what you like. I'm 19 and not even a full 5'2. I have some of those hippie pants and wear the crap out of them. Sure they drag on the ground and get a little gross at the bottom but who cares lol.

I wish I did but I'm just like who could teach me to use it. I'm the type of person who'd end up stitching my arm to the garment I'm trying to sew. And I know grudge is in right now, but blood soaked clothes is a little much lol

Scary! Oh gosh, but learning to sew is on my to do list in life. And I've ruined many a pants due to them being dragged on the ground. Thank heavens for skinny jeans cause when flared pants were in, smh I was the the queen of jacked up hema.

I've always wanted to wear them too! I'm like 5"3 but I have super long legs so its weird. I'm with Nala, I am not on the small chested side! I wish I could wear bralettes tho :/ But Jocelyn, I say go for it!

I'm 5'0" and 21, so I feel your pain. We can wear them easily with wedges, hems , or finding some that are actually made for petite people (which is always hard for me). They are meant for taller people but we can make them work, just takes a bit of work that's all.

I'm 14 and I'm 5'2 1/2.. I feel like maxi skirts would elongate you body?

I'm the same height (five feet even), and short girls can totally rock the maxi skirts and hippie pants!
When I wear them, I pull then up around my waist and wear a crop top or tuck a blouse or top in. Took me a little bit to find a style that worked for my stature, but of course it can work :) play around and see what you like.
I'm still trying to master the high low skirts though. I keep looking like a direct descendant of Frodo Baggins lol

I'm 5'8. I would love to wear heels and skinny jeans! I'm just so damn big Hahaa! At least 6'1 lol. But yes! Some shorts and wedges or jeans and heels! There is this saying "God only lets things grow till they're perfect , guess some finish sooner than others" (:

Hi!
I'm short too! I'm a junior and I'm like 5'2! You could try those styles but I wouldn't recommend it. Because they are so long they cut down your height drastically. Trust me... I tried maxi skirts and absolutely hated how small they made me look. And since your actually shorter than me it probably isn't the best idea. However, Lindsay L had a great idea! High waisted shorts and a pair of wedges make shorter girl look taller and look fantastic on our bodies! Also you could of courser try these styles and hem the pants so they don't drag along the ground. And if you don't like the maxi skirt style after you try it you can always turn that skirt I to something else using some scissors and a sewing machine! If you don't like the pants after you try them then turn them into shorts! You have a lot of options!
I hope this has been helpful! I totally understand the problems of being a shorter girl!

I would rather be short than tall and scrawny like I'm turning out to be! Bahaha I hope I stop growing 🙈

Lol why do people always act like looking short is bad?... I love looking and being short. It's not a negative, nor do I strive to look taller. Not everyone is meant to be "model" height. Lol I wear what I want to fit the size of my body, (I'm a curvy size 10) not my height. (Just my 2¢)
