I use henna for the strengthening benefits and slight sheen it provides. I have no plans to ever lighten my hair so the color isn't a problem. And I can do a dark rinse over it if I want it jet black. I never change my hair color, so I like it.

It'll add a red rinse to the hair. It won't make it red. You'll be able to see it in certain light but it won't be blatantly obvious. But with dark hair, the red won't be noticeable but the health benefits make up for it.
