May I ask how you used the Stippling brush? do you stipple after foundation is applied? because that stipple effect is for after application much like stippling paint technique.

I use Real Techniques expert face brush and then use their multitask sponge damp to blend everything in and take down shine/tackiness/cakeyness. I do it after I powder too and it works very well :),

@Alma, tell me more.
I used to dip the brush in my foundation mix then apply. Stipple around my face then lightly buff (not in a full circular motion though) That was NOT working. Streak city and I had to do work for a nice finish.
Now I do what you just said. Apply my foundation with my fingers then do the stippling. Much better.

When I used the stippling brush I was t good at applying foundation I'm still not but I would just stipple it all on at once and then I would try to blend it in with that same brush going in circular motions that could be why it left lines I feel like the beauty blender is the easiest for me because it blends so effortless.

Yes Symone I think that is the most common mistakes people were doing when using the Stipple brush they dipped the brush in foundation and try to apply it.A stipple brush is to bring shade coverage in area's you have control of whether light or fuller coverage and it usually is tapping of the area half way right left,left right motion. The best way for any one to have a better understanding of the technique is to watch an actual Painting video of stippling and that will give you a better idea of the technique. It's always the Base Flat finish first (Foundation) then go in with stippling to ad a bit of extra coverage in areas. :)
