How do you style hair?!

So I have really thin, stick straight hair that's hard to style; I hate it! Any suggestions on how to get some foolproof waves/curls or any hairstyles? Pictures would be appreciated, thanks lovelies! 😊

I have similar hair. When it's wet I brush it with my fingers then scrunch it. Spray in some garnier fructis sea salt spray. Then blow dry the roots only.
