What's a good staying purple hair dye?

It depends on the person, but what works for me is Pravana. This is when I dyed my hair purple with Pravana, it's a really lovely shade but to get the same color in the picture you could add a touch of red dye into the purple for a warmer shade.

Oh and this is my hair now, there's purple in it, also Pravana. I haven't dyed it or touched it up since I got it done on May 2nd.

Hair dye will be dependent on your hair. Some people's hair hold onto one formula better than other brands formula. It'll be trial and error till you find the one that lasts longest for you.

I'd recommend trying special effects or pravana dye, they tend to last longest on the majority of people. Special effects deep purple is a beautiful color. :) they have plenty of others too, and mixing them creates your own unique color. Just make sure you know what undertone you want (red vs blue) and stick to one :)

This is special effects deep purple. If diluted with conditioner or applied on darker hair it would be similar to the photo you posted, though I'm pretty sure it is photoshopped as I've seen the same photo with blue, pink, pastel and blonde hair before.

My hair is naturally very dark black, I want a deep purple. if I try the same shade as used in the pic above will it cone out a darker/Deeper purple??
