I have bleached my hair from dyed black to blonde over the last few months. my natural hair color is a medium brown. how can I bleach the roots at home? I've never done at home lightening, only box dying my hair black.

I don't recommend bleaching roots unless you absolutely have to. Sometimes depending on the level of blond, you can safely lift with color.
However, color does not lift color. That's how you get funky roots and really dark ends.
