Any tips to avoid awkward stages. This is about a month and a half of growing. I want to go to right at shoulder length.

Get regular trims to keep it looking good throughout the awkward stages and keep shape. trust me it helps. I'm growing one out too and regular trims avoids the mullet and keeps it healthy!
