Braiding with layers

So my hair is really long and has no real shape so I'm going to get layers (like the picture below) but I was wondering if I can still braid my hair with these kinds of layers and I have curly and kind of frizzy hair.

Ughh layers are a pain in the butt to braid! it's possible, but there will be little baby pieces popping out here 'n' there.

You can but you will get some pokey out bits but like what every said you can use gel or hairspray to help tame them
