Any girls out there with kinky hair? I'm half black half white. What are some tricks you use to keep it manageable and looking nice?

I'm black and white as well and have thick, curly hair. The only goal I ever really have is keeping my hair moisturized. I don't wash my hair everyday and I stay away from products containing alcohol. I also try not to make my hair something that it's not. I have ALOT hair and it's very thick and voluminous. I sorta own and embrace my hair rather than trying to "tame" it. I also try to keep my ends healthy cus that makes the biggest difference for women with curly/kinky hair. To keep my hair moisturized, I like to do deep conditioning treatments or oil treatments. I hope this helps!

Yeah I definitely try to keep it moisturized, and I do have a lot of hair like you do Mallory. Do you any way you style your hair in its natural state? I going for curl definition and trying to avoid frizz in the process.

If I'm going for a super defined curl, I will work a cream-based styling product and oil into my hair in small sections. I apply a generous amount, comb that section with a wide-tooth comb and then finger comb, and finally I will twirl my individual curls around my finger from root to tip in the direction of my natural curl (some of my hair curls clockwise and others counterclockwise). Most of the time I don't go for the super defined look anymore since I like my big, wild hair so I stop after I finger comb my hair. Hope this helps and sorry for the late response!
