I got some early Christmas cash a couple of days ago and I think today I'm going to venture out to Ulta and treat myself. What are your opinions on a high-end product that would be worth the splurge and I could get a lot of use out of?

I'd definitely agree with naked palettes! I have the naked palette and it's the bomb :) I'd say definitely any good primers if you don't have them already - UD primer potion and spackle foundation primer by Laura geller! Also benefit's high beam - that thing is perfection in a bottle hahah

Hmm, well I've got Naked 2, UDPP and Benefit's High Beam haha. There's no MAC around me, except for in a cosmetics store in an outlet mall about 45 minutes away. :X I'll have to look for that Laura Geller primer, I don't know if they sell that brand at the Ulta in my town.

I think Wet n Wild pallets are worth getting over the naked pallet. I'd save your money on high end eyeshadows. Bobbi brown gel eyeliner is really good but you could really good ones at the drugstore. Know your options at the drugstore before you go & buy unnecessary high end products! Just some advice :)

Primer is highly under rated and makes all the difference in your makeup. I'd splurge on something you know you need to use every day. To me it's usually primer and Foundation OH and eyeliners (because I wear it every day as well) I think you should just think about what you will wear most... and go from there.

I'd go high-end on the foundation. Sample the UD Naked foundation and check out the Lorac Pro palette with its even number of mattes and shimmers.

This is less makeup related but I just thought of it - sake bath soak by fresh from sephora! It's AMAZING if you love to take baths. Hands down best bath soak I've ever tried. Ever!

facial products are the most important to splurge on, in my opinion. foundation, bb cream, whatever - you're putting it on your face! a good bb cream would be something i'd put on my list if i were you. i use too faced.

It's not a must-have but last night I picked up some of Lorac's 3D Luster and I can't believe I waited so long to get it. Its amazing if you love glitter. Makes it so easy to get glittery, sparkly eyes with no mess. You literally just put a drop on your finger and dab it on. I like it so much I was actually considering going back today and getting the gold one just to use for Christmas lol

Thanks everyone! I ended up not buying anything today because I'm going to do a little more research on everything that was suggested. Also, I'm going to wait to make a trip out of town to Sephora since some of the stuff mentioned is only sold there around here. Feel free to keep the suggestions coming! :D

I'd definitely splurge on something I'd use everyday. A primer, foundation or even a concealer. I personally feel like that's the most important step in a makeup routine. =]]
Make Up For Ever HD foundation is almost never a wrong choice. People have been raving about Urban Decay Naken Foundation latley too.
If you're into silicone based primers, Smashbox may be something you might want to look into. lol I could go on & on!

I agree with Gen Good Brushes! Um let me see recently I splurged on MUFE HD Foundation, UD Naked Foundation and I also splurged on some YSL Lipsticks... I mean I could do without the YSL lipsticks BUT i Felt it was a much deserved treat for myself... And when I have extra cash I just love going to Sephora or Inglot and playing around with EVERYTHING till I fall in love with SOMETHING!!! Oh PS Lorac is a very underrated brand but it is amazing.... Like everything they have is amazing so that might be a brand you might wanna look at I know not all sephora's sell Lorac. The one near me in North Miami doesn't :(
