So right around the end of June I dip dyed the bottom 5 inches of my hair with black cherry and grape kool aid. I followed the directions I found on a YouTube video (sorry I forgot the title) yet the color came out very quickly, about a week! I have the ends of my hair slightly bleached from last year so it was a bit blonder where the dye went. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on a) what may have happened or b) what to do differently. Thanks!

By the way the black cherry came out very bright and the grape was a very dull purple. The red was up in top 2 inches and purple for the rest.

I'm not sure, but I honestly wouldn't risk having to cut off all my hair because of using kool aid. instead, I recommend you use a manic panic dye. they don't damage hair (veggie dye) & come in a variety of colors. cheap & last a decent amount of time too.
