I would ask your derm honestly if your acne is really that bad then go to the derm and they should prescribe you something good I wouldn't use a pill for my acne just cuz of how over drying and red they can make your face

And since school is coming up, I need to find something that needs to work for her and I hate going to derms because they don't care they reccomend everything to anyone with acne. And I don't want her to go on accutane either because its a really strong pill and has bad side effects. She is trying to eat healthy though.. So I told her not to put anything on her face just wash it with water in the morning and it will go away, especially if you drink a lot of water and exercise!!.

Skin is very personalized. What works for some will not work for everybody. Cetaphil works for many people, it will not work for everybody though. It's worth a shot though, because a lot of people will see benefits from it.

I personally use the body shop seaweed line, and I love it. Maybe try the body shop for a new wash. Skin is so much trial and error

Clean and clear has a benzoyl peroxide spot treatment that works wonders, it's about $5. Definately worth it. Also make sure she's using a good cleanser and moisturizer

Well you can't just keep on trying things because putting so many products will not let the skin breathe.

Don't mix a bunch. And you have to use it for at least 3 months to see a real difference, so it's not like you're trying new products every day or week. And not washing your face doesn't let it breathe, it just makes it not clean lol. Let your skin breathe by washing it and moisturizing, but not slathering a bunch of makeup on top.

No it'll help the acne and it'll clean your face. Your skin will defiantly be breathing easier. And I really recommend benzoyl peroxide. It's amazing ams world wonders just like Suzy said(:

Not all derms are bad lol look up reviews of different ones in your areas, you're honestly giving us a hard time when we know nothing about her skin or anything. asking for random pills will do more harm than good

What's the deal with people wanting specific types of pills? Goto the doctor, get tests done and do what they recommend. There's no use saying "I want <brand> pill because Stacy had it and it worked for her!"

Going to a dermatologist would be a great start. I went to one a few years ago when my skin was really bad, and now it's clear except for a normal break out every so often. They put me on 3 or 4 different ones, though, because my body kept getting too used to them.

I would agree that if several otc things have not worked, see a dermatologist. One that comes highly recommended will help guide you and your daughter. She needs a mild cleanser and moisturizer at the minimum, water alone is not helping. I tried many things over several years, including trials of several low dose antibiotics under a dermatologist. I finally had to resort to accutane, and that worked. I hope it doesn't come to that for her, but it may. if someone could find Traci on here, she would have some helpful advice I think. good Luck!

My derm prescribed me with Oracea which is a very light antibiotic. It cleared up my acne quite quickly and I'm very happy with my skin now!

Unless it's prescribed by a doctor you can't ,just give her random pills most times it just makes it worse you need to try things that actually work on acne Salicylic acid ,benzoyl peroxide and tee tree oil paired with a hydrating moisturizer ,using nothing will get you no results acne doesn't resolve itself.
