I just wanted to say how beautiful all of you guys are- and how talented! I was just browsing and admiring the pictures on here and realized it has been over a year since I truly got to enjoy makeup. Being 27 and having hormonal acne suddenly is really awful. I know it's just skin it's not what matters but when you have a passion that you can no longer embrace, it sucks! Just wanted to vent, ðŸ’—

I really know how you feel I got acne when I was around 18 and I really lowered my confidence and I tried lots of treatments even started accutane for like a month but I couldnt handle the side effects so I stopped it but I eventually got my confidence back and believe me its not that bad you'll have good days and bad days just breathe through your bad days and they'll pass :) if they really are severe maybe go to a dermatologist if you cannot there are lots of things you could try for instance tea tree oil and the ladies on here are very helpful in suggesting all kinds of products that could work for you
And believe when I say acne does not define you you are beautiful no matter what :)

You should definitely see a dermatologist. I battled with acne my whole teens. I was terrified to take Accutane, but I did and it changed my life (for the better!). No bad side effects, only dry skin. Maybe you won't need something so extreme, but it's worth talking to a doctor. I would also try Proactiv if seeing a dermatologist isn't an option. I think it really helps and isn't drying. You can waste tons of time and energy on various treatments, but I really wish I hadn't and dealt with it sooner. The longer it lasts, the more likely it is to scar which is extremely costly to deal with.

I do agree with seeing a dermatologist,if you can they have a lot more options to fight acne than you can find on your own ,if thats not possible try using La Roshe Posay Effaclar Duo it's for moderate to extreme acne and uses both salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide in conjunction with each other which are the top recommend things dermatologist will use to clear acne ,you can find it at Ulta.
