So I want to become a state police officer after these next 2 years of college. But I do have a tattoo on my forearm (I will insert a picture) and since laser tattoo removal is quite expensive and painful I have been researching tattoo removal creams. So far I've seen good things about TatBGone and Tattoo-Off. I'm wondering if you ladies have any experience with these two products? I'm also going to ask my doctor for further opinions. But what do you think?

I'm confused are you not allowed to have the tattoo or do you not like it any more beacause I think it's adorable

They're not allowed to have the tattoo.

You're not allowed to have tattoos as a police officer where you are? That's so strange, police here seem to have lots of tattoos. Haha :) I don't have a tattoo but I do agree with Alexis that the only real way to get rid of them is with the laser removal.

There's a tattoo shop in my area that does tattoo removal for 50euro a session here and you'd only need 3 or 4 sessions, maybe look around your area to see if tattoo places with do it?

My bfs mom is a police officer and she has tattoos and he's going to be one and he has tattoos and the police department is okay with it. :p I think you just can't have them show maybe? Her uniform has long sleeves but then again maybe it's just the state you live in? :p Anyways I'd double check on that rule.

Honestly that is all line work which more than likely will never be completely removed and if by some off chance it could be, it would take years. Not to be a downer but tattoos aren't easy or even possible to just remove. Don't waste your time on creams.

Not worth it

Even with laser removal, tattoos take dozens and dozens of sessions to fade much less completely disappear. Waste of time and money in my opinion. As long as you wear long sleeves you will be fine.

My sister tried a tattoo removal cream (I can't remember the name of it), and it was a complete waste. She tried for such a long time and it made absolutely no difference. And even if it does fade your tattoo a little bit, it will never get rid of it completely. The creams are a waste of money, I would invest in laser removal! It is pricier, but at least it will actually remove the tattoo.

I mean it depends on the needles and ink used but laser removal can be very effective. That photo was after one session. If you really need this tattoo gone, laser is going to be the best route. I do agree with Lauren that if you can get away with wearing long sleeves you definitely should just go down that road though.

I'd rather keep the tattoo instead of having a nasty looking scar.

Yeah that is weird, I know a lot of cops who have tattoos as the uniform covers them anyways!

If its conflicting with your career you could always just cover it up with concealer. I know the Kat Von D line is good for that, Hard Candy Glamoflage is good too. I would just hate for the end result to be like those shown in the picture.

Try full cover makeup like Katvond tattoo lockit concealer. I heard it covers tattoos really well.

Where I live cops are allowed to have tattoos and they don't even have to cover them up.

They have to be covered. Don't worry.
