I haven't tried the specific concealer but I looks using concealer a for highlighting and contouring. It gives you a natural sculpted look as apposed to the "shiny and dewy" look most highlighters go for. I recently got a new concealer palette and it just gives you such an intense but natural look and I absolutely love it!

Using it greatly varies from person to person.. as if you use a concealer as highlighter, especially if you are a bit on the oily side of skintones then it can make your skin look a bit too cakey and will give the impression of too much of make up.. however if your concealer is gel based then you can use it as a highlighter though I doubt whether it will give good results.. do let me know if you try it and share your experience.

I love her concealers, they are very creamy. I have used concealers to highlight.

I personally wouldn't use the Laura Mercier Camouflage Concealer as a highlighter. It's a thicker concealer that would look too cakey & dry on my already dry skin. I prefer a thinner product that will melt into my skin easily & I also prefer my highlighter to have a little sheen to give a slightly dewey effect which adds to the highlughting effect.
