Agghh I hope Frieda kahlo counts. I really don't wear makeup that mirrors her artwork but I swear her hair inspired me...she had this painting I loved as a kid where she has green in her braid. Here I sit with green hair! Along with being my hero I definitely must say she is a beauty idol.

Marilyn Monroe hands down! Her confidence, even though people say she was a woman of questionable morals, I love that she never cared and always had confidence in herself and dressed beautifully and her staple red lips!

I don't think of Marilyn Monroe as being overly confident, I think that was her personae, but not her actually personality. I think she was a very fragile woman, who ultimately was eaten up by the industry that created that icon. She's very tragic, which makes her a great icon, but not maybe a good idol. ha ha.
The little I know of her is that she herself was quite simple and had very few possessions, most of the clothes she actually owned weren't very fabulous, and the thing she owned more of than anything were books.

I know it sounds kinda cliche but my beauty idol is my mother she taught me a lot of what I know about makeup and how to be a confident woman, I also idolize other strong women like Angelina Jolie, Liz Taylor, and though I agree Marilyn Monroe was a fragile woman but she's still one of my idols.

Norma Jean Baker {Marilyn Monroe}. My mother absolutely LOVES her and I grew up around her. From watching her movies {My favorite is Some Like It Hot hands down} to watching documentaries, I idolize her more than anything. I do believe she was a fragile woman, but then again aren't all of us fragile in a way? But she was confident. She was beautiful in her own way. She had amazing quotes {I love quotes} and she had this essence of elegance. The way she died was tragic, when all along she just wanted someone, or something to love her. She is my idol.
