I want to start to try to look more presentable at the gym, I don't want a full face of makeup just a little bit, any ideas?

I also agree with Alexis though

I personally wouldn't put on any face makeup. Just brows, waterproof mascara and Chapstick/lip gloss

You're working out. You will be sweating. There honestly is no reason to put makeup on to go to the gym. I'll be completely honest, that is one of the silliest things I've ever heard. Not to be rude so don't take it as such.

Agreed with Symone!
I would only stick with mascara & filling in my brows, if anything at all :p

Nobody will care what you look like trust me everyone is there for the same reason :)

I agree whole heartedly with Em. I used to forget to take my makeup off before field hockey practice and in the long run I paid in a pretty nasty eye infection! Just don't do it; you really don't need it.

Why does having a bare face make you not presentable?

I go bare faced to the gym. Just going to sweat and get all that stuff on the equipment which isnt cool for the next user. Its much better for your skin to go without so all the toxins have a somewhere to exit (thru your pores).

Kat A. Some people are just uncomfortable with going out with a bare face even if it is in such a community as the gym. Some people just like wearing makeup. I agree with most of the ladies here when it comes to the makeup. Concealer, brows and mascara should do you well. If you feel like more than no one should stop you. If that's how you feel good when working out then so be it. Have fun!

Call me crazy, but why does wearing makeup equate to looking presentable? Is no makeup un presentable? Who are you going to impress? Lol just my philosophy, focus on getting in a good workout instead of trying to look cute. You have all day to be a beauty, give up an hour or so and just be a beast.

Oh, I see. thank you for explaining :) @Dorothea
well if you feel you must, I'd stick to chapstick & waterproof mascara. but keep in mind, as many ladies have previously said, it is not good to wear makeup when working out. honestly, no one cares what you look like at the gym. they're just trying to work out. I'm sure you don't go to the gym & stare at people judging them for their looks. you focus on working out, just like everyone else. don't be so hard on yourself :)

Honestly I get why you would want to! I use concealer and just a little bit of eyeliner in the waterline! make it look like you're not wearing makeup.

I am very against wearing makeup when working out. Sweating is like getting a steam facial, and ultimately I wouldn't get a facial with a full face of makeup on.
I would keep it very minimal.. mascara, a brow gel, some chap stick if anything.

What If I work out in school? Lol I have weights & dance & I sweat like crazy because our teacher is fitness obsessed, it's at 1 & 3 so I'm obviously wearing makeup in the morning, what can I do? Lmao.

Yeah no makeup Is much better, there's this girl at my gym and she's always there when I'm there but I swear she always has a face full of makeup with full on drag queen lashes, it's just not at all for the gym

Look, I don't think it is necessary for a FULL face of makeup, but, I think it is absolutely fine to wear some... It doesn't sweat off to a crazy extent, and it just helps you feel better (I like to wear some foundation and mascara) and there is nothing wrong in doing so tbh

I am totally uncomfortable without makeup at the gym, but... I've had to start getting used to it. I definitely just do my brows to not look so dead. anything else on my face makes me breakout. I'd rather be more fit than breakout. I understand where you're coming from, but your skin will be so happy!!

If you are uncomfortable with a bare face while working out that's ok. I usually just wear concealer to the gym because I have sever scarring. Do whatever you'd like though :)

I agree with Alexis..

I don't understand why people need to do makeup to go to the gym unless you wanna go there and take selfie. But if you're planning to go to the gym to sweat then don't. Or maybe you can use a little bit of waterproof mascara lol.
