Just went and got my nails done. Its different than what I normally get done. I either get acrylics or gels but this time they did acrylic base with the powder/gel on top of the fake nail tip then they painted it with a shellac. I sadly don't know what colors they used.

Did you find this was thicker than a normal acrylic manicure? I got a manicure like you described and it was so terribly thick :( not sure if that's just how it goes or if the place I went to was no good.

Actually I think its a bit thinner than my normal acrylics. I try to get a picture of the tips so you can see the thickness. It might be the place you went to but this is the first time getting this done like that and I'm super happy with them. :)
