Anyway, I've been researching into tape-in hair extensions. Will this thicken my hair? Or just add length? I really don't want my hair to be all that much longer...maybe an inch or two below my shoulders. I really just want to have thick hair, tho.
Thoughts?

It'll do both.

Ahh I have the privilege of thick voluminous hair due to being Asian 😂 but I recommend you use hair thickeners (Paul Mitchell works like a charm) together with curlers. For thicker hair I recommend Bombay, personally have them and they're beyond amazing. I use their curlers too.

I don't really recommend extensions if your hair is that fine, because it could actually just tear your hair out. Definitely go to a salon and talk to them about whether your hair can handle it. But yes, extensions make your hair thicker.

My mother in law has the same problem, I say yes to extensions, but no to glue ins!! Try the microbeads, I inserted them into my mother in laws hair and it looks great. and will not pull out hair like glue can do.
they also make clip ins but those can be a little trickier to hide then the beads.. hope I helped! BTW that picture is absolutely beautiful! You two have perfect smiles lol

My hair is thinner than yours honey and it's Cuz I was born this way. Extensions will not help just don't dye or bleach your hair anymore! If you do I mean.

Try clip ins

Clip ins would definitely work I'd suggest watching YouTube videos on where to place them in your hair so you won't see the clips (since you have such fine hair)

I also have very thin hair, mostly from damages from heat and bleaching but also from wearing clip in extensions for years.
I have had tape in extensions for about 4 months now and I love them! I've actually noticed more hair growth in these past few months from my bottom layer that was really broken from back combing for extensions.
So yes extensions will lengthen and make your hair feel thicker. I actually took a little bit for me to get used to! and you don't have to get them super long, it'd be totally up to you. Tape ins are a more high maintenance form of extensions tho,
so you should be aware of what it takes to care for them. I really enjoy them and you can definitely let me know if you have any questions about it.
