I've had the same thing around the side of my nose. Maybe try using a toner everyday? Toner is supposed to help minimize pores.

But... What's the white stuff?

Maybe just soap build up.

Soap and/or makeup products. I'm not sure, but I would say it's a good guess. :)

I don't use soap... And I use wipes to clean my makeup off along with oxy pads. (I rinse after the makeup wipes but not after the oxy pads)

Especially if your pores are larger in those areas. You would assume that creams and soaps would get stuck in there. Gross, I know but I would just start with some toner and maybe that will help. I'm no expert though! Lol.

It doesn't necessarily have to be soap. It could be anything that you apply to your face. Good luck :)

Thanks. I just want it gone 😣 lol.

Try an actual cleanser versus pads/wipes. You probably have build up in your pores that needs removed. Use the wipes first, then cleanse, and a detoxification scrub/mask would be ideal.

Maybe try the biore strips. I always use them cause the pores on my nose and a little of my cheeks where the pores are abit bigger kinda get like that. and it helps.

I'd recommend a peel and after your skin calms, using a wash that contains salicylic acid.

Ole Henrikson Power Peel or Dr. Dennis Gross peel pads work well. You really need to test patch. I have sensitive skin so I need very little product.

I'd definitely consult our resident Skin pro, Traci, on suggestions. Play makes a salicylic face wash to help keep pores clear.

Dec 17, 2014

Roz, I was hoping traci would see this post. I don't use a sonic cleanser just my fingers. Would that help?

Those are really just blackheads, I think, but the gunk in them is white, probably soap or makeup. Same treatment for blackheads: exfoliate. You can use a mild exfoliant up to twice a day. BHA (or salacylic acid) is what I don't get this stuff anymore, really.

Oh!! Maybe this is important... I've never had this problem till recently and I've been on painkillers (oxy-30mg and T4-60mg codiens) could those be what messing up my pores? For awhile it was giving me really bad acne, but that settled down, could this now be taking it's place due to the toxins from the pills seeping through my pores??
